Crowns & Bridges

Crowns and bridges restore damaged and missing teeth. This will improve appearance, prevent stresses causing damage to other teeth and will maintain the natural bite to improve chewing. They are usually made of porcelain to match the natural shape and color of your teeth.

Preparation of a crown or bridge involves thorough planning by our dental team using x-rays to check the health of the tooth. At your appointment the dentist shapes the tooth for scanning to make a record for the construction of the crown or bridge by our dental technician. A temporary crown or bridge is placed while your new tooth is being constructed. The laboratory work takes approximately two weeks. At your next visit your crown or bridge will be cemented in place.
